Indian cricket star Sachin Tendulkar has been turned into a Hindu god by devoted fans. Worshippers commissioned artists to create icons of the cricketer as the religion's monkey god Hanuman in the Indian capital, Delhi.
Tendulkar, who is the highest run scorer in both one-day and test cricket, is seen by many in India as the greatest batsman ever and is one of the country's most popular figures.
The religious works show him wielding his bat instead of the flute shown in traditional images of the god. Artist Gautam Bhatia explained: "He is truly a god to millions of people who worship this sport.
